Terms of Service

Last updated: September 23, 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Hestia Order website at hestiaorder.com and any organizing, consultation, planning, product-recommendation, or related services provided by Hestia Order (“Hestia Order,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By using our website, submitting an inquiry, scheduling a consultation, accepting a proposal, signing a service agreement, or purchasing services from Hestia Order, you agree to these Terms.

Specific proposals, contracts, invoices, or written agreements provided through HoneyBook or another platform may contain additional terms. If there is a conflict between these Terms and a signed project agreement, the signed project agreement controls for that project.

2. Our Services

Hestia Order provides professional home-organizing services in Jacksonville, Florida, and surrounding areas.

Services may include:

  • Kitchens and pantries
  • Closets
  • Garages and storage spaces
  • Laundry and utility areas
  • General household organization
  • Decluttering assistance
  • Space planning and organization
  • Labeling
  • Product research and recommendations
  • Organizing-system setup
  • Maintenance recommendations

The exact scope of each project is determined during the consultation and confirmed through the applicable proposal, contract, or project plan.

Hestia Order does not generally provide professional cleaning, large-item junk hauling, heavy furniture moving, cabinetry installation, construction, electrical work, plumbing, or other licensed trade services.

3. Consultations

Hestia Order may offer an initial consultation at no charge.

Consultations are intended to help us understand:

  • The space
  • The client's goals
  • Current challenges
  • The approximate project scope
  • Scheduling needs
  • Potential organizing strategies

A consultation does not obligate either party to proceed with a project.

Any recommendations provided before a project is formally booked are preliminary and may change once the space is examined more closely.

4. Booking and Reservation Payments

Organizing sessions generally have a three-hour minimum.

Hestia Order's standard organizing rate is currently $70 per hour, per organizer, unless otherwise stated in your proposal or agreement.

A reservation payment may be required to secure your appointment. Any reservation payment, deposit, credit, or amount due at booking will be identified in your proposal, invoice, or booking documentation.

An appointment is not considered confirmed until required booking steps have been completed.

Rates may change over time, but pricing confirmed in an accepted proposal or signed agreement will govern that project.

5. Time Billing

Organizing services are billed according to the actual time spent providing the service, subject to any applicable minimum.

After the minimum session period, additional time may be billed in 15-minute increments unless your project agreement states otherwise.

Project duration estimates are estimates only.

The amount of time required may depend on factors including:

  • The quantity of belongings
  • Client decision-making
  • Accessibility of the space
  • Sorting requirements
  • Product installation
  • Unexpected conditions
  • Changes to the requested project scope

Hestia Order does not guarantee that a project will be completed within an initial estimated number of hours.

6. Product Research and Recommendations

Some organizing projects may benefit from storage products, containers, shelving, labels, hooks, dividers, or other organizational products.

Unless specifically included in a written proposal, products are purchased separately from organizing labor.

Product research may be billed at the rate stated in your proposal or service agreement. When applicable, Hestia Order may charge for product research up to the agreed maximum.

Recommendations are based on available information, measurements, intended use, product specifications, and availability at the time the recommendation is made.

Product availability, pricing, shipping, colors, dimensions, specifications, and retailer policies may change without notice.

7. Third-Party Products and Retailers

Hestia Order may recommend products sold by third parties such as Amazon, Target, The Container Store, Home Depot, Lowe's, IKEA, Walmart, or other retailers.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Hestia Order does not manufacture, sell, warrant, or guarantee third-party products.

We are not responsible for:

  • Product defects
  • Manufacturing defects
  • Shipping delays
  • Out-of-stock products
  • Retailer errors
  • Price changes
  • Product discontinuation
  • Incorrect manufacturer specifications
  • Third-party return policies
  • Damage caused by defective products

Any warranty or return claim relating to a third-party product must generally be addressed with the applicable retailer or manufacturer.

8. Measurements

When product recommendations depend upon measurements, clients should provide accurate measurements or allow Hestia Order to measure the space.

Hestia Order will use reasonable care when measuring spaces and recommending products. However, architectural irregularities, trim, hinges, pipes, molding, flooring variations, doors, electrical equipment, or other conditions may affect fit.

Clients should not purchase custom-built or non-returnable products based solely on preliminary measurements without confirming final specifications.

9. Travel

Hestia Order serves Jacksonville and surrounding areas.

Travel fees may apply depending on the location of the project.

Current standard travel guidelines are:

  • 0–30 minutes: included
  • 31–45 minutes: $25
  • 46–60 minutes: $40
  • Over 60 minutes: quoted separately

Travel times are determined based on ordinary travel conditions and the project location.

A specific project proposal or agreement may contain different travel arrangements.

10. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing Hestia Order with reasonable access to the project space.

Clients should disclose any known condition that could affect safety or project performance, including:

  • Structural hazards
  • Pest infestations
  • Mold
  • Water damage
  • Unsafe flooring
  • Exposed electrical wiring
  • Hazardous chemicals
  • Biohazards
  • Aggressive animals
  • Weapons
  • Unsafe storage conditions

Hestia Order may stop or postpone work if conditions appear unsafe.

The client is responsible for determining which belongings should be kept, donated, discarded, sold, relocated, or otherwise removed unless the client has specifically authorized Hestia Order to make a particular decision.

11. Decluttering Decisions

Hestia Order assists clients with sorting and decision-making but does not take ownership of the client's belongings.

The final decision to keep, donate, discard, sell, recycle, or relocate an item belongs to the client.

Hestia Order will not intentionally dispose of items without authorization.

Clients should personally review items that may contain:

  • Cash
  • Jewelry
  • Financial documents
  • Legal documents
  • Medication
  • Identification
  • Personal records
  • Keys
  • Digital storage devices
  • Sentimental belongings
  • Valuable collections

12. Valuable or Fragile Property

Clients should identify valuable, fragile, irreplaceable, sentimental, antique, or unusually delicate property before work begins.

Reasonable care will be taken while handling client property.

However, ordinary organizing activities involve moving, sorting, stacking, storing, and repositioning belongings. Clients understand that minor wear, movement, or accidental damage can occur despite reasonable care.

Any concern regarding damage should be reported promptly.

13. Donations and Disposal

If Hestia Order assists with preparing items for donation, recycling, or disposal, the client remains responsible for approving those items before removal.

Unless specifically included in a project agreement, Hestia Order does not provide large-scale junk removal or hauling services.

Third-party donation centers, waste services, movers, or hauling companies operate independently of Hestia Order.

We are not responsible for items after they have been transferred to an authorized third party.

14. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Clients should provide at least 48 hours' notice when cancelling or rescheduling a booked organizing session.

Late cancellations, missed appointments, or rescheduling requests may be subject to the terms stated in the client's proposal, booking confirmation, invoice, or service agreement.

Hestia Order may also reschedule a project because of illness, severe weather, unsafe working conditions, emergencies, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

When possible, we will provide notice and arrange a replacement appointment.

15. Payments

Payment schedules will be stated in the applicable proposal, invoice, booking confirmation, or service agreement.

Clients are responsible for paying amounts due according to those terms.

Payments may be processed through HoneyBook or another approved payment processor.

Hestia Order does not directly control the payment-processing systems used by third-party providers and is not responsible for temporary service interruptions or processing errors caused by those providers.

16. Estimates and Project Scope

Any estimate is based on information reasonably available when the estimate is prepared.

An estimate is not a guarantee of final project cost unless specifically identified as a fixed-price agreement.

Changes to the scope of work may result in additional time or charges.

Examples include:

  • Adding additional rooms
  • Requesting additional sorting
  • Adding product research
  • Adding labeling
  • Requiring additional organizers
  • Adding installation tasks
  • Reorganizing areas outside the original scope

Material changes will generally be discussed with the client before additional work is performed.

17. Photographs

Hestia Order may photograph spaces for planning, documentation, organization, or consultation purposes.

Project photographs used internally are handled according to our Privacy Policy.

Hestia Order will not use identifiable client project photographs for public marketing solely because photographs were taken during a project.

Public use of client project photographs, testimonials, or identifying information is subject to the client's applicable media authorization or consent.

Clients may decline optional marketing or media consent without affecting their ability to purchase organizing services.

18. Reviews and Testimonials

Clients may voluntarily submit reviews, testimonials, photographs, or feedback through Google, Facebook, social media platforms, email, or other channels.

When content is voluntarily posted publicly, Hestia Order may reference, quote, or link to that public review where legally permitted.

Hestia Order may also request permission before using client photographs, identifying information, or other nonpublic material for promotional purposes.

19. Website Content

The Hestia Order website is provided for general informational purposes.

Although we attempt to keep information accurate and current, we do not guarantee that all website content will always be complete, error-free, or current.

Services, rates, service areas, availability, policies, and offerings may change.

The terms stated in a current written proposal or service agreement govern a specific booked project.

20. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the Hestia Order website and its original content are owned by Hestia Order.

This may include:

  • Branding
  • Logos
  • Written content
  • Graphics
  • Photographs owned by Hestia Order
  • Project layouts
  • Organizational guides
  • Website design elements
  • Original planning materials

Website content may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, republished, or commercially used without permission except as permitted by law.

21. Third-Party Websites and Services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services, including:

  • HoneyBook
  • Google
  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • Nextdoor
  • Retailers
  • Product manufacturers
  • Scheduling services
  • Payment processors

These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

Hestia Order is not responsible for the availability, security, content, policies, products, or practices of third-party websites.

22. No Guarantee of Specific Results

Professional organizing is intended to improve usability, accessibility, organization, and function.

Because every household, space, and client's habits are different, Hestia Order does not guarantee that any organizational system will produce a particular result or remain unchanged indefinitely.

Maintaining an organized space ultimately depends on continued household use and maintenance after the project is completed.

23. Safety and Right to Refuse Service

Hestia Order may decline, suspend, or discontinue work if we reasonably believe that:

  • The environment is unsafe
  • The requested work is outside our services or expertise
  • Hazardous substances are present
  • A situation requires a licensed professional
  • Conditions pose unreasonable risk to people or property
  • A client engages in abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or unsafe behavior

Any financial treatment of cancelled work will be governed by the applicable agreement and circumstances.

24. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Hestia Order will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from use of the website or services.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

Any contractual limitation of liability contained in a signed client service agreement will also apply to that project.

25. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Hestia Order harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from your misuse of the website, violation of these Terms, or inaccurate information provided by you.

This provision does not limit any rights that cannot legally be waived.

26. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute concerning services provided by Hestia Order will be handled according to applicable Florida law and any dispute-resolution provisions contained in the client's signed service agreement.

27. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, business practices, website, or legal requirements.

The most current version will be posted on this page with the updated revision date.

Continued use of the website after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised website Terms.

For an existing booked project, the terms contained in the client's applicable signed agreement remain controlling unless the parties agree otherwise.
